What we collect
From bidders: the email address you enter at checkout, plus the brand name, tagline, link and emoji you choose. Everything except your email is shown publicly on the board — that is the point of it. Your email is never displayed.
From visitors: when someone clicks a listing, we record which listing was clicked and a salted, irreversible hash of their IP address and browser user agent. We do not store IP addresses, and the hash exists only to avoid counting the same visitor repeatedly within an hour. We use the same technique to rate-limit the claim form. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, and no third-party trackers.
Who else sees it
Dodo Payments processes payments as merchant of record and receives the billing details you give them directly; we never see your card details. Our database is hosted by Supabase. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Listings and their payment records are retained while the board runs, because they are the record of who paid for what. Click records are aggregate counts tied to a listing rather than to a person.
Your choices
Email hello@emojibid.lol to correct your listing details, remove your listing, or ask what we hold about you. Note that removing a listing does not reverse a payment — see Refunds. Minimum bid is $5; we do not knowingly take payments from anyone under 18.
