Refunds
Changing your mind
If you change your mind within 14 days of first claiming an emoji and it has received no clicks, email us and we will refund that first payment and release the emoji. After 14 days, or once it has driven traffic to your site, the payment stands.
Top-ups
Payments that raise your position on the board are not refundable. That position is relative to what everyone else has paid, so it cannot be unwound without moving other people who did nothing wrong.
Losing position is not a fault
Anyone may pay past you and take a higher place. That is the mechanic you are buying into, it is described on the claim form before you pay, and it is not grounds for a refund — refunding it would mean taking a rank away from whoever legitimately passed you.
The emoji itself is a different matter: it cannot be lost to another bidder at all, so the usual reason for wanting a refund never arises.
When we will refund
- Your payment succeeded but no listing appeared, and we cannot make it appear.
- You were charged more than once for the same bid.
- We removed your listing for a reason that turns out to be our error.
In those cases we refund the amount in full, and the corresponding payment stops counting toward your rank.
When we will not
- Somebody paid more and your position fell. This is the mechanic, not a fault.
- Your listing received fewer clicks than you hoped for.
- We removed your listing because it breached the content rules in our Terms.
- You stopped wanting the emoji you own, more than 14 days after claiming it or after it drove any traffic.
How to ask
Email hello@emojibid.lol from the address you used at checkout, within 30 days of the payment, saying which emoji it concerns. Refunds are issued through Dodo Payments to the original payment method. A refunded payment stops counting toward your position, which may move other listings.
